Saw arrived with defects on the handle. (Cracks and chunks missing.) First time I ever bought a Japanese saw and was expecting their famous quality. It's not there in this saw. The handle is made from bamboo strips that have been wrapped around it. This is way too lightweight & delicate. This handle willhave to be replaced often. I contacted the manufacturer who politely exchanged it, but the one they sent me WAS EVEN WORSE!! Obviously not a one-off issue! The saw cuts and flat. But nothing a cheaper one would not have also done. Well, it appears when it comes to Japanese saws, I'm a "One and Done" buyer.
