The blade is forged from Yasuki Shirogami #2 steel, prized by professionals for its purity, and traditionally hammer-forged for lasting strength. The result: a clean, long-lasting edge that

The blade and handle are joined with a Wa-Kugi — a nail known as the origin of Tsubame-Sanjo's craftsmanship. This extra step keeps the joint from loosening, even after years of use.

The handles are crafted from durable oak, shaped into a knob grip that sits naturally in the hand. With use, the wood deepens into a rich amber patina, growing more yours with every season.

An 11.8" (300mm) blade covers more ground with every stroke. And because each pair is hand-fitted by a craftsman for a smooth glide from heel to tip, the cut comes faster and cleaner.
