  • JAPANESE STYLE PULL SAW: This product is a “Pull Saw.” Most people are used to European saws, called “push saws,” which cut through a pushing motion. On the other hand, Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and are called “pull saws.” In comparison to “push saws,” this Japanese product is lighter in weight, requires less power, and results in a cleaner edge.
  • JAPANESE STEEL: All SUIZAN Japanese saws consist of top quality Japanese steel. The high-quality steel makes razor sharp cuts.
  • MADE IN JAPAN: All SUIZAN woodworking tools are manufactured in Japan by Japanese master craftsmen. The whole process of making these tools are completed in one of Japan’s towns known for its craft-making tradition with a history of over 100 years.
  • DIVERSIFY YOUR WOODWORKING LIFE: No matter if you are a master or a beginner, using traditional Japanese-style saws gives you a brand new experience and lets you make a wider range of woodworking products, thus changing your life!

Traditional quality in a modern world

I was a sailor stationed in Yokosuka Japan in the 70s. My friend Takashi Kato introduced me to the ethics of the Japanese. He was an individual who would sacrifice anything to uphold honor and had so much civic pride! I did not hesitate to incorporate Japanese tools in my woodworking endeavors. I knew they would perform exceptionally well. All one has to do is live up to the expectations of the tool and its age old design. These tools are amazing. No other saw will accomplish the cuts that these are capable of. If you are not a person who relies on “good enough) as your excuse for mediocre quality and results, you will love these tools! I have several of them and can not, and will not attempt precise cuts without the proper tools. Get some of these saws, and work to understand their significance in your building with wood. If you want to prune trees, do not belittle this tool with such mundane of a task. You owe it to yourself to use one of these saws.
